years ago i would do my meditation sitting down.
due to knee problems (painful to sit still for long time), i now do a walking meditation.
the group i was with was happy for me to lag behind, so i could meditate.
i took some photos as well…
these are all S.O.O.C. (not even a crop).

i sort of do that on a bicycle
Cool.
I so imagine that you would do that.
Thanks, Gav.
all part of the ride
A series of extraordinary shots, nature tends to give us the best reason to meditate.

I agree. Some of my best meditations are with nature.
A great set of images! I love the tranquility that getting out with your camera gives you. I’ve not heard of a walking meditation before, though. I start a meditation course in a few weeks’ time so will be intrigued to know more!
It’s like being very present, with every step. Also mindful of body & in relation to environment.
Wonderful my aussie friend. I find walking meditation difficult because I get too caught up in seeing and thinking instead of being. I’m glad you can do it. Beautiful images. Thanks for sharing your walk with us.
Thanks Terry.
I have to have the camer on ‘auto’,
as it is too distracting, otherwise.

Quand tu fais une promenade en forêt ça donne de sacrées résultats, j’aime bien ce traitement une forme de nuit en plein jour.
merci beaucoup.
C’était toute une aventure.
Je devais pas penser à la peur de tomber d’une falaise.
Excellent set, Gavin. I really like the compositions and sense of stillness in each shot.
Thanks Chris.
Great shots ! It was pretty dark isn’t it ?
Good recovery for your knee.
yes. very dark.
the Canon EF50mm-f12L-USM-Lens.

lovely idea Gavin
Very nice. I love photo walks.
wonderful images
Thank you.
nice set, which illustrates well your words
In a way a good pic always needs some kind of meditation … we need to capture a moment. Difficult to do when one isn’t aware of it …. at least in a very minimal way
Thank you.
I agree with your comments.
Gavin.
